A Traditional Martial Art
Kansas Chun Kuhn Taekwondo is a member of the World Chun Kuhn Taekwondo Federation and the International Association of Martial Arts Schools (IAOMAS).
DEVELOPED BY TAEKWON-DO LEGEND BOK MAN KIM
Chun Kuhn Taekwondo is a traditional martial art developed by Supreme Master Kim, Bok-Man (1934-2021), the most influential pioneer of Taekwon-Do. Supreme Master Kim’s martial arts training began in 1941 when he was just 7 years old. In 1955, Supreme Master Kim joined Gen. Choi Hong-Hi to develop Taekwon-Do for the Korean Army. Chun Kuhn Taekwondo represents Supreme Master Kim’s continuous development of Taekwondo since its founding until his death in August 2021. Although more than 80 years old, Supreme Master Kim continued to teach seminars across the United States and around the world until being stricken by cancer only months before his death.
Master Mike Swope is honored to have been taught by Supreme Master Kim and Grandmaster Brad Shipp, the World Chun Kuhn Taekwondo Federation’s Technical Director and President, and honored to teach the traditional art of Chun Kuhn Taekwondo to students in the Wichita, Kansas metropolitan region, including Haysville, Derby and Mulvane.
